报告人简介:

辛千凡博士1991年毕业于同济大学热能工程本科,后分别于1997年和1999年获得位于美国圣路易斯市的华盛顿大学机械工程硕士学位和博士学位。曾先后任职于美国纳威司达(Navistar)公司和HXK技术公司,主管柴油发动机性能与系统集成的优化分析等工作。兼任昆明理工大学客座教授,曾任国际汽车工程师学会(SAE)商用车动力系及传动系委员会2012年度主席。著有《Diesel Engine System Design》和《柴油发动机系统设计》两部专著。


Dr. Qianfan Xin graduated from Tongji University with a B.Sc. degree in Thermal Engineering in 1991, and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with his M.Sc. degree (1997) and D.Sc. degree (1999) in Mechanical Engineering. He worked at Navistar, Inc. and HXK Technologies, Inc. on optimization analysis of diesel engine performance and system integration in various technical and management positions. He is a Guest Professor at Kunming University of Science and Technology. He was the Chairman of the Powertrain & Drivetrain Committee of the SAE COMVEC in 2012. He is the author of the book “Diesel Engine System Design.


摘要:

工程设计的终极目标是在满足系统优化的条件下实现在性能和耐久性等方面的“为可靠性而设计”。目前的工科教育普遍缺乏系统工程、可靠性工程、试验设计及优化技术的三位一体训练。系统工程在工程技术中的应用主要体现在系统设计(子系统相互作用)、系统集成、系统动力学及控制(瞬态性能)。可靠性工程使得设计从较为盲目的确定性设计迈向更加科学的概率性设计,使用应力-强度干涉模型控制失效率。试验设计及优化技术从确定性优化(如响应曲面方法)和非确定性优化(如蒙特卡罗模拟)这两方面帮助设计或科研提高工作水平,实现系统的、可靠的、优化的结果。


Abstract:

The ultimate goal of engineering design is to achieve “design for reliability” in performance and durability with system optimization. The integrated training of systems engineering, reliability engineering, and DoE & optimization is generally lacking in engineering education at present. The applications of systems engineering are mainly reflected in system design (subsystem interaction), system integration, system dynamics and controls (transient performance). Reliability engineering improves design quality from deterministic design to probabilistic design, using the stress–strength interference model to control the failure rate. Design of Experiments (DoE) and optimization techniques help design and scientific research to improve work quality in two aspects: deterministic optimization (e.g., response surface method) and non-deterministic optimization (e.g., Monte Carlo simulation), so as to achieve systematic, reliable, and optimized results.
